The fabric was op shop found for $5. Plant based, heavy and drapey with alternating chevron and plain weaves.
Dyed a darker pink
Heaps of fabric with some to spare for self trim.
Silk lining also cut slightly larger in case of shrinkage due to quilting.
Silk basted to fabric to stabilise before quilting
Pelon fused to batting in prep for shoulder pads.

Slipstitching lining seams
Prepare trim - made by strips cut on grain then gather
Zip in
Atach lining to neck, center front and hem
Finishing touch - gold chain inside hem
